Arora and Associates, P.C. is looking for a motivated Network Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing local and wide area networks for one of our clients. This is a temporary position for approximately six months with the possibility of extension and/or permanent hire.  The role includes designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new networks, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems.Network Engineer (L-2021-15)Arora and Associates, P.C. is looking for a motivated Network Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing local and wide area networks for one of our clients. This is a temporary position for approximately six months with the possibility of extension and/or permanent hire.  The role includes designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new networks, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems.Duties:The Network Engineer will work in-house or be assigned to project management teams working with outside clients. As part of an organization’s IT team, the Network Engineer will work closely with Network Architects and IT Managers. The Network Engineer’s responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, LAN and WAN
  • Troubleshooting networks both proactively and reactively
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades
  • Investigating faults in the network
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting networks.
  • Hands on experience with routing protocol such as OSPF and BGP, Access Lists (ACL) and QoS.
  • Cisco CCNA or Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise or equivalent preferred
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
  • Ability to follow processes
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Experience with SolarWinds Network Traffic Analyzer
  • Experience with Juniper Switches and routers
  • Experience with Aerohive Wi-Fi systems
