Help us build the future and we’ll help you build a rewarding and purposeful career.As a result of continued & sustained growth within our Cairns office, we now have a position available for an experienced and highly motivated Structural Engineer to assist with the design and documentation of structural elements in the civil infrastructure, bridges, buildings, and marine infrastructure sectors.GHD delivers highly functional, economical, elegant, safe, and optimised structures by applying well-planned construction methodology and contemporary design technology. • Performing and managing simple and complex analysis, design, and documentation of various structures including but not limited to civil infrastructure, bridges, buildings, and marine infrastructure.
• Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients in the Northern Australia region.
• Working as part of a multi-disciplined team on a range of projects from conception, including design, management, site works, and construction surveillance.

​​​​​​​What you will bring to the team 

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
• Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ).
• Passion for design documentation, assessment and analysis of technical data and imparting knowledge, skills, and experience through the provision of professional development in others.
• Excellent project management skills and ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Code and Standards
• Strong communication skills both oral and written (including report writing).
• Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget.
• The capability to produce concise and accurate reports, technical specifications, design calculations, and drafting briefs and mark-ups.

Ideally as the successful candidate, you shall have more than 10 years’ experience within an engineering consultancy where you have successfully delivered projects across multiple sectors such as civil infrastructure, bridges, buildings, and marine infrastructure.Interested? Apply now.
