Every day, our staff solves problems and overcomes challenges that make an immediate difference to our clients and the people they serve. A day in the life of a Geotechnical Sr Staff Engineer at NTH·       Coordinate field inspections and investigations under supervision of a project engineer, including on-site direction of geotechnical drilling activities. ·       Gather data from test borings, test pits, and monitoring wells.·       Oversee installation of various geotechnical instrumentation and read them based on project requirements.·       Conduct laboratory and field testing of soils.·       Perform a variety of engineering analyses and calculations, with and without the use of engineering software.·       Prepare geotechnical report and present findings and recommendations.·       Monitor construction operations, including earthwork, dewatering, and excavation support installations and prepare engineering field reports.·       Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, and technical specifications. What you need to apply·       Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (emphasis on geotechnical engineering), or related degree, from a 4-year accredited college or university.
