Woolpert is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Water Resource Discipline in one of our Florida offices. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in potable water and reclaimed water distribution, wastewater collection and transmission systems including experience with analysis, design, permitting, bidding and construction services.Responsibilities:Duties of the Engineer, in which prior experience in some or all areas is desired, may include:

  • Preparation of engineering reports for preliminary engineering design, I/I analysis or rehabilitation recommendations
  • Design and preparation of construction drawings for utility piping and pumping systems in AutoCAD Civil 3D and design/planning software (e.g. water system and sewer modeling software)
  • Engineering estimates and quantity takeoffs; preparation of construction specifications and bid documents; and field observation of utility construction
  • Overseeing and directing assignments for CAD designers and reviewing work completed by CAD designers
  • Managing project budgets and deadlines
  • The candidate must be able to perform field work activities when needed

Duties or skills of the Engineer that are desired but not required include:

  • Support of stormwater design and analysis projects as well as NPDES stormwater compliance activities
  • Intermediate proficiency in ESRI software

Candidate must be highly motivated, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and excel in a multidiscipline project team environmentRequirements:

  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum BS (Civil or Environmental Engineering); Preferred MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in water/wastewater system and storm water design. 
  • Candidate must possess an EIT License with the ability to obtain a PE license in Florida.  
  • Candidate must reside in Florida area or be willing to relocate to the Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville or Miami area.
