  • Developing and implementing site assessment and remediation work plans, sampling and analysis plans, and health and safety plans;
  • Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
  • Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
  • Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation;
  • Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling; drilling and contractor oversight; aquifer testing; geophysical investigations; and remediation system O&M;
  • Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses;
  • Groundwater modeling and 3D data visualization; and
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.

  • Training: This position requires health and safety, first aid, CPR, and other training, as well as medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our employees to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants. 
  • Fieldwork: Up to 60%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 20%

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, environmental or chemical), geology or other related science discipline. (required)
  • Advanced degree in engineering, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental geology, or the like. (preferred)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior research experience in engineering, hydrogeology, geochemistry, or a related environmental discipline. (preferred)
  • Prior internship or work experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Experience with field work, remediation technology, and/or contaminant transport. (preferred)
  • Experience with ArcView, Microsoft Office Products (including Microsoft Access), GIS, Modflow, and/or EVS. (preferred) 
  • Prior successful completion of the Fundamentals of Geology exam through ASBOG or Fundamental of Engineering Exam. (preferred)
  • Ability to receive Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer registration in Florida within six years of hire. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
