Job Summary

Are you getting your degree in Civil Engineering? Do you have a passion for the Transporation industry?

TYLin is seeking a Summer 2024 Intern to join our Roads and Highway sector in our Irvine, CA office.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details
• Revise engineering plans and details perk markups
• Perform quantity take-offs
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling
• Assist with computer modeling
• Perform calculations as needed
• Assist progress reports
• Participate in BUILD activities that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• At least a second-year student presently enrolled in an undergraduate Civil Engineering program or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation preferred
• Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions
• Commitment to quality work and technical excellence
• Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges
• High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way
• Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $20 - $30 hourly for this position and local market.
