Job Summary

TYLin is seeking a Civil Designer with experience in residential/commercial development projects to join our TYLin | City Solutions team in Whitby, Ontario.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participating in the development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering drawings, designs and plans (water, sanitary, storm, drainage, earthworks, roadways, lot grading and servicing).
  • Implementing and managing AutoCAD Civil3D drafting and plan preparation standards.
  • Preparing reports and other project related documentation packages and drawing sets as needed; reviewing drawings for conformity and errors.
  • Working with designers and project managers to ensure smooth execution and delivery of project requirements.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of relevant land development experience, with a focus on subdivision and/or commercial site plan development projects.
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • C.E.T. or eligible to register with OACETT.
  • High level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Willingness to mentor and teach others.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
