Job Description

  • Labor Cost Estimation and Budget Management:
    • Conduct detailed labor cost estimation, considering hourly rates, overtime, and associated benefits.
    • Manage the manpower budget, tracking labor costs against the allocated budget.
  • Manpower Planning and Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with project teams to forecast and plan manpower requirements throughout project phases.
    • Assess skill sets needed and work with HR to fulfill staffing needs.
  • Resource Allocation and Optimization:
    • Develop strategies for efficient allocation of manpower, balancing workload and expertise across project teams.
    • Optimize staffing levels to meet project demands while controlling costs.
  • Manpower Scheduling and Coordination:
    • Work closely with project planners and construction managers to integrate manpower schedules with project timelines.
    • Monitor and adjust staffing levels based on project progress and milestones.
  • Performance Metrics and KPIs:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for manpower utilization and productivity.
    • Regularly assess and report on manpower-related metrics to gauge project efficiency.
  • Change Management (Manpower):
    • Assess the impact of changes on manpower requirements and costs.
    • Negotiate and finalize adjustments to staffing levels in response to project changes.
  • Daily Workforce Monitoring and Issue Resolution:
    • Implement systems for real-time monitoring of daily workforce activities.
    • Address immediate concerns related to manpower, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Communication with Stakeholders:
    • Liaise with project managers, HR, and relevant stakeholders to communicate manpower-related updates and issues.
    • Collaborate with HR to address personnel-related matters.
  • Contractual Manpower Obligations:
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to manpower provision and costs.
    • Work closely with legal and contracts teams to address manpower-related contract clauses.
  • Weekly, Monthly and project close out report.

    • Strong ability to analyze and interpret manpower data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

    • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with project teams and stakeholders.
    • Ability to collaborate across departments for seamless manpower coordination.
  • Budget Management:
    • Proficient in managing manpower budgets, with a keen eye for cost control and optimization.
  • Project Management Software Proficiency:
    • Mastery of project management software and tools for efficient workforce planning and scheduling.
  • Change Management Expertise:
    • Skill in assessing and managing the impact of changes on manpower requirements, negotiating adjustments as needed.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities to address immediate workforce issues and devise long-term solutions.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Building/Construction or Civil.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Middle East, is essential, with a preference for experience within the Construction Industry, preferably with a main contractor.
  • Knowledge of planning software, specifically Primavera.
  • Proficiency in English communication (verbal/written) is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is a prerequisite.
  • You are willing to work abroad.
