Job Description

SUMMARY

Provide engineering expertise and advice, both on-site and from headquarters, to support reliable, high-quality, safe, sustainable and efficient services at optimum cost levels.


  

  • Analyse and assess tender documents, contracts 
    and specifications regarding technologies, 
    methods, processes, stakeholders and QHSE-S 
    and perform initial opportunity and risk analyses, 
    determine which parties and/or sub-contractors 
    need to be involved.
  • Translate specifications and/or client requirements to (parts of) a design/construction 
    proposal/stakeholder management plan, propose method statements and/or carry out engineering and/or calculations, prepare the contractual qualifications and technical assumptions.
  • Contribute to/make planning for activities and 
    resources in tender and/or execution phase relating to own area of expertise.
  • Ensure and monitor execution of (project) activities by the colleagues and third parties of the DEME Group, and use of equipment according to own 
    engineering expertise, participate in projects, 
    manage quality control, opportunities and risk, and maintain contact with in- and external stakeholders.
  • Follow-up and analyse performance of 
    (engineering) activities, evaluate bottlenecks in technologies, methods or processes, make 
    suggestions for improvement and, if applicable, 
    ensure and monitor implementation after approval, in line with DRIVE principles and methods.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders on 
    (technical) aspects and questions related to the own area of expertise and provide detailed advice about feasibility, duration and working method 
    details of engineering techniques/stakeholder 
    management, from headquarters as well as on site.
  • Document (maintenance) activities performed (on processes, installations and equipment) and/or provide insights regarding quantitative and 
    qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses.
  • Keep up with relevant developments in the own area of expertise and contribute to the 
    (engineering) field by developing new, state of the art knowledge, exchange knowledge with and/or deliver expert training to colleagues and other 
    professionals. Ensure understanding of related 
    areas of expertise.
  • Formulate ambitious QHSE-S objectives and ensure QHSE-S awareness and execution of activities in line with these objectives, and take corrective and preventive measures if necessary, as well as draw proposals for improvement.
  • Build, maintain and utilise a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners, manage relations with all relevant stakeholders and represent the project(s) within and outside the organisation.
  • Plan, lead and develop project members, assure adequate training of personnel.



  • UG or PG degree in Geology from reputed institutions.
  • 3-6 years of experience.
  • Good in verbal communication.
