Bridge Engineer, Project Manager (hybrid)

Indianapolis, IndianaWe are seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer in the Indianapolis area. The position will involve working directly with engineers, technicians and administrative staff on the pursuit, development, and execution of bridge engineering projects. You will have a unique opportunity to enter a collaborative work environment and help shape the future of our transportation services. Primary duties will be focused in Indiana while potentially assisting other offices with current projects. About the Transportation Business UnitThe Transportation Business Unit provides transportation engineering services for all project types and scopes, from the largest interstate systems to local township roads. Some of the services provided include roadway and intersection design, corridor improvements, bridge replacement and rehabilitation, and environmental documentation. Our traffic, highway, structural, and environmental planning engineers work collaboratively to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and long-term transportation solutions.ms consultants will cover parking expenses in downtown Indianapolis. What You Will Do:Specific responsibilities include:

• Perform structural design and plan preparation for bridge projects.
• Provide assistance with feasibility studies, environmental planning documents, and proposing changes for bridge projects to improve efficiency and safety.
• Lead projects, complete designated task assignments, and report progress to operation leaders.
• Project scheduling, progress reporting and coordination.
• Development of project proposals and estimates.
• Final project plan and document preparation including quantities.
• Complete designated task assignments and report progress to operation leaders.
• Actively recruit, grow, and manage the Indiana Bridge Department with assistance from the operation leaders.
• Collaborate with team leaders to help provide a strategic edge over our competitors.

• BSCE from an ABET accredited College or University.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or have the ability to obtain a PE license within six months of employment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of AASHTO, FWHA, and INDOT standards preferred.
• MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRoads experience preferred.
• Alternative Delivery Project experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.
• Ability to collaborate and share ideas differing from the Regional Operations Leader
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
