We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to be part of a workshare team.You will be involved in:
- Supporting the delivery of structures projects largely within the buildings space from concept through to construction documentation.
- Project scope establishment, leading or supporting design and documentation (depending on project size and complexity), technical specification preparation, design coordination, shop drawing reviews etc.
- Discipline project controls and reporting following both client and GHD guidelines.
- Managing and delivering projects with positive value outcomes which create lasting community benefit.
- Frequent liaison with GHD team and/or clients to define and clarify scope, technical requirements, and drive project outputs.
- Engaging and coordinating with colleagues across all disciplines, including architecture, engineering and modelling.
What would you bring to the team?
- Degree qualified Structural Engineer with 5-10 years’ relevant experience in concept development through to detailed design of properties and buildings.
- Working knowledge covering education, commercial and/or industrial infrastructure using reinforced, pre-tensioned and post-tensioned concrete, steel, steel composite and timber construction.
- An understanding and competency in a variety of structural design software packages - experience with SpaceGass, Autodesk Robot, Structural Toolkit and other design packages is considered favorably.
- Competence in a variety of design, documentation and construction methodologies.
- Flexibility to work autonomously and in diverse teams including the opportunity to mentor junior staff.
- Practical knowledge and application of Australian Standards.
- Proactive self-starter with strong communication skills.
- Creative and positive mindset embracing new ideas and contributing to the broader business.
