Job Description

Senior Project Manager – Geotechnical The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced consultant with 10+ years of project management experience and strong client development and relationship skills. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a “seller/doer” approach, have strong technical and project management skills, and an ability to manage a team and develop staff.  Responsibilities

  • Champion quality and demonstrate leadership by personal high standards for work processes and products and exemplary service to clients.
  • Negotiate and agree on project scope, job tasks, contract terms, budget, and schedule with clients.
  • Respond to client questions and needs.
  • Oversee and prepare technical reports.
  • Prepare proposals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, colleagues, and managers.
  • Successfully manage $500,000+ of net revenue performed annually. Net revenue goals can be met through managing WCG client work and business development efforts. Work to be performed at profit margins generally consistent with other managers.
  • Develop new business to support revenue goals. Generate at least one new client annually, with new client net revenues of at least $50,000 - $100,000.
  • Take a leading role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships.
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term in accordance with targets.
  • Perform civil engineering design of solid waste disposal facilities including surface water design, leachate collection and pumping systems, and grading.
  • Establish and coordinate field and laboratory investigations to characterize solid waste disposal facilities.
  • Perform stability, settlement, and seepage analyses for solid waste disposal facilities.

 Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical engineering, OR equal work experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience managing geotechnical projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Professional licensure (PE).
  • Solid written and oral communication skills to include proposal writing and reporting.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and willingness to take on diverse challenges.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel out of town.
