This position offers the opportunity to lead complex and multiple discipline projects.Working in the Water group, this position will see you involved in:

  • Preparation of civil and hydraulic engineering calculations for water and wastewater planning and design projects.  
  • Design of water and wastewater transmission, distribution, conveyance and treatment civil infrastructure. 
  • Mentorship and training provided by experienced engineers to enable ongoing technical development and learning.
  • Coordinating resources, oversight of budgets and supervision of timelines to provide quality and timely project completion of multi-disciplinary design teams. 
  • Developing Project/Design Management skills to undertake project management training as required.
  • Assisting with the preparation of proposals and delivering presentations to clients to win work.
  • Working on or being responsible for several concurrent tasks, proposals or projects and therefore ability to manage competing priorities in a professional and proactive manner is highly desirable.
  • Overseeing and facilitating knowledge sharing including mentoring junior team members.

What you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Water Resources Engineering or equivalent. License is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in water and wastewater transmission, distribution, conveyance and treatment civil infrastructure including pipelines of various materials and sizes, storage facilities, pump stations, etc.
  • Design experience in water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, chemical dosing systems and odour control facilities.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics. 
  • A strong focus on successful delivery and client service.
  • Experience in coordinating and integrating civil design with mechanical, electrical, process, drafting, geotechnical and other disciplines to deliver total system solutions.
  • Ability to provide specialist input into the water and wastewater transmission, distribution and conveyance systems for the municipal, mining, oil and gas and other markets.
  • Strong writing skills to produce high quality reports, proposals, etc.
