Job Description

  DescriptionBarton & Loguidice, D.P.C., is a growing, multi-disciplined consulting firm of professional engineers, environmental professionals, and planners with a talent pool of more than 350 employees that have been meeting the needs of municipal, industrial and institutional clients across the northeast for more than 60 years. 
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated candidate for a Managing Engineer position within our Water/Wastewater practice area in our Syracuse, NY office. This position is responsible for managing both water supply and wastewater management projects, including business and client development, primarily in the municipal sector. 
Responsibilities include: management and oversight of utility projects, review of site development projects on behalf of clients as the municipal designated engineer, and staff  leadership and mentoring. This role requires active representation at municipal meetings, participation in marketing activities, preparation of technical and cost proposals, attendance at proposal presentations and interviews, and demonstrable business development capabilities.Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • A current New York State PE license, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Candidates must have 8-10+ years of relevant engineering experience, as well as supervisory, project management, and client communication experience. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of special districts; design and construction of water treatment, pumping, storage and distribution systems and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems; and associated funding programs.
