Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies, and people around the world. You will join our Water Infrastructure GroupAs our new Engineer you will be part of a team dedicated to working with municipalities and utilities to deliver a wide range of water-related projects; from preliminary studies to following projects through design and construction.  The candidate will be joining a highly successful team providing services in the areas of: Rehabilitation of existing pipelines; new storm water drains, water and wastewater transmission and distribution networks; and Green Infrastructure within the NYC region while collaborating with other offices and teams through Ramboll North America.     Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Plan and design portions of projects of greater complexity, following design, construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, geologic data and other data to plan projects.
  • Prepares or present reports or analysis such as design calculations, field data results/conclusions and/or cost estimates.
  • Prepare basic designs and perform calculations in support of projects of routine to average complexity, following design, construction, and regulatory standards, using design software and drawing tools.
  • Review of construction submittals for compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Assist in preparation of construction cost estimates.
  • Modeling of process and hydraulic systems.
  • Supporting alternatives analysis.
  • Supporting field assignments including infrastructure review and rehabilitation.
  • Evaluate equipment and materials to be used for writing technical specifications.
  • Visit job sites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5+ years of qualifying engineering experience in the engineering/design field; or
  • Associate Degree in engineering technology, science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting, or other relevant technical curriculum and 7+ years of qualifying engineering experience working in the engineering/design field.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, and proficient in Microsoft Office.  Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling platforms are desirable but not required.
