Our suite of specialty analyses helps solve complex design challenges, improves constructability, maximizes energy efficiency, and increases security. We offer a range of services for the full building life cycle to help clients execute ambitious architectural visions. Our consulting services include materials research, specialty analyses, detailed design, engineering and construction support, and glass and building envelope failure investigations. In the technology-driven cladding industry, innovation comes with the territory. Nearly two-thirds of the building envelopes we design and engineer are based on customized systems that involved unique combinations of materials.The RoleWe have an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our Façade Practice. You will be responsible for project managing small to medium sized projects and serve as the key point of contact for large, complex projects. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside senior leadership to track project financials and grow you business development and marketing skills. Technical work includes detailing of building envelopes and running relevant analyses, materials, and systems research, and coordinating/overseeing project work with the team. We are looking for candidates who are conscientious and creative, detail-oriented, and professional with attentiveness to client communications.Responsibilities

  • Manages projects and team to achieve financial goals.
  • Analyzes building envelope performance with specialized software (i.e. loading, thermal analysis, condensation risk, geometry).
  • Researches materials and systems to determine specific project suitability.
  • Prepares building envelope detailing in 2D and 3D format for client communication.
  • Assists in construction administration, responding to RFIs, and organizing submittal logs.
  • Attends construction meetings, performs site inspections, and prepares field reports for the client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, including previous progressively responsible project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer and/or SE License or Registered Architect.
  • Advanced knowledge of building envelope practices, strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to build quick rapport with all levels of employees and clients.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
