Your Impact:When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow by using cutting-edge technologies to challenge the accepted.As a Geologist/Geophysicist, you’ll collaborate with other experienced scientists, engineers, and project managers to solve our clients’ most challenging environmental & engineering issues. Working with some of the brightest minds in environmental & engineering consulting, you’ll act as a technical consultant, providing geoscience expertise. Working alongside a strong team in Jacobs Technology & Solutions team, you'll design, execute, and manage geophysical actions ranging from Site Inspections to Remedial Investigations to Remedial Designs to Remedial Actions. You’ll develop and implement standard and innovative solutions for  environmental and engineering and projects; interpret geophysical, geologic, and environmental & engineering data; prepare environmental & engineering planning documents; prepare and review geophysical work products and subcontractor procurements; interact with internal teams; travel for projects; and occasionally oversee subcontractor field activities.Bring your ambition to provide innovative solutions to Jacobs’ clients and stakeholders, and we’ll help you grow what drives you.At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates.   • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in geophysics, geology, engineering, environmental science, geography, soil science or other related field of study, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in application specific software
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites in light aircraft or watercraft
  • no relocation assitance provided

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:  

  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites in light aircraft or watercraft  
  • Geophysical Investigation and Analysis Experience for environmental, engineering, groundwater, or infrastructure projects
  • Subsurface Utility Engineering Geophysical experience
  • HAZWOPER and/or MSHA work experience
  • GIS and/or Electronic Data Management for environmental applications, and/or database design & administration experience
  • Ability to interact and communicate successfully with co-workers, clients and regulatory agencies
  • CERCLA, RCRA, MMRP project experience and/or interest
  • Professional experience in the environmental field and working knowledge of federal and State environmental regulations
