Job Description

  We are EnSafe, an employee-owned, global environmental consulting and engineering firm. We strive to provide cutting-edge, creative solutions for our clients. We are seeking to add a Remediation Engineer in our Memphis or Nashville, Tennessee office.   If you are the successful candidate for this position, you will be responsible for leading or assisting engineering and design efforts for various environmental remediation projects.  Typical projects that you may work on include vapor intrusion assessment, mitigation, and response; in situ/ex situ groundwater remediation design and implementation; soil remediation system design and implementation; and remediation system operations and maintenance (O&M) and optimization.   The successful candidate will support projects ranging from small dry cleaners/gas stations to large, complex industrial facilities and redevelopment projects.You will be part of technical teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, problem solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors. EnSafe is a sell/manage/do organization, so your duties will also include supporting marketing/sales and the project manager.The qualifications required to help you succeed in this position include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering  
  • Between 5- and 12-years’ experience
  • Current EI and the ability to obtain a PE license within the next two years is preferred
  • Previous experience with vapor intrusion/mitigation, groundwater and soil remediation, and remediation system O&M
  • Familiarity and/or experience with detailed design and specification preparation is a major plus
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail 
  • Regional travel likely
