Duffield is looking for qualified Civil/Water Resources Engineer candidate to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Duffield seeks to hire an entry level (0-2 years of experience) civil/water resources engineer with a strong technical background, good communication skills, and commitment to environmentally sustainable engineering, to assist Project Managers with civil, water resources and green stormwater infrastructure design. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated critical thinker that is willing to work both collaboratively and independently. The candidate will perform technical engineering work associated with green stormwater infrastructure design, water resources engineering, and sustainable development/redevelopment projects. Responsibilities may include the following:

Preparation of stormwater management design plans in AutoCAD

Engineering calculations and H&H models

Erosion and sediment control design

Preparation of plans and reports for agency/municipal review

Completion of land development and environmental permit applications

Attendance at meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant discipline from an ABET accredited institution with emphasis and/or significant coursework in water resources.

0-2 years of experience in water resources, civil-site, or land development engineering.

Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles

Experience with green stormwater infrastructure practices.

Experience with AutoCAD, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, and ArcGIS

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to sustainable engineering and design
