Join Cardno's Science and Environment team. We are looking for talent to join our group in Lake Forest, CA. The position will work closely with clients, our technical staff, client service leadership, and key practice teams to execute significant projects and help grow our business in Southern California.

Job Description:

Cardno is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Site Assessment and Remediation Group. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in contaminated site assessment and remediation in Southern California including familiarity with environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate will be capable of balancing business development and project responsibilities, and will have strong relationships with public and private clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

> Acquiring new clients and project opportunities commensurate with Cardno’s technical services

> Coaching and mentoring of team members in business development

> Leading and supporting the development of proposals of various sizes

> Managing environmental projects of various sizes

> Communicating with clients about future work and supporting business development activities

> Participating in key client management and growth and $1M in sales annually

> Coordinating teaming and subcontracting discussion/agreements for specific project opportunities and to help grow the sales and sector practice

Basic Qualifications:

> Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, geology, engineering, or closely related field

> Fifteen years of relevant professional experience in environmental assessment

> Five years managing medium to large multidisciplinary projects >$250K

> Federal and state permitting and certification experience with projects in California

> Previous consulting experience a must, including business development and sales

> Established client relationships with private developers and/or agencies in California

> Knowledge of pertinent environmental regulations

> Positive and energetic attitude, able to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, team oriented work environment

> Solid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines

> Self-motivated; strong initiative; resourceful

> Must be authorized to work in U.S. without company sponsorship
