About Geocomp

Geocomp provides installation and operation of sensors and instruments to monitor the performance of facilities during heavy civil construction.

These projects typically vary from $1 to $10 million in value lasting from 1 to 4 years. We need an experienced project manager to oversee these projects and work with individual project managers to maximize our efficiencies and profitability. Work is all over the US with possibility of an occasional foreign project so ability to travel to project sites is essential requirement.

Senior Project Manager

Geocomp is seeking a full-time Senior Engineer with a geotechnical engineering background and project management experience to join our team of highly skilled engineers in our Acton, MA headquarters. Job Expectations

Oversee multiple Instrumentation & Monitoring projects concurrently

Work with project-specific PM’s running those projects to ensure:

Proper staffing levels are being utilized

Project schedule is met, and scope is being executed according to the project plan and contract

Change orders are documented and submitted in the most efficient and timely way to ensure successful acceptance

Our work is being performed in efficient ways to maximize our project profitability and meet contract requirements.

Interact and negotiate with clients

Help to train and improve our project managers

Make project sites for planning, review, training

Qualifications

BS with concentration in Civil, Construction or Construction Management preferred

5+ years Project Management experience on heavy civil infrastructure projects

Needs an understanding of job costing, scheduling, CPM concepts

Work experience on instrumentation and monitoring projects is desirable but not essential

Strong communication skills

Proven ability to work effectively with clients

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed

Strong interest and motivation in the type of work we do
