Job Description

STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting division of STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES.

We are currently recruiting for a new position designed to streamline business development, estimating and bidding for our industrial maintenance projects. As a Solution Builder for our Baton Rouge team, you will be accountable for bringing the capabilities of STRUCTURAL to the industrial market, estimating basic repair and protection construction projects and maintaining key relationships in the greater Gulf Coast region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing, maintaining, and expanding business relationships with owners, engineers, and general contractors in the greater Gulf Coast region

Participating in sales meetings, sales calls, seminar facilitation, lunch & learns, trade shows, and the development of other sales strategies and initiatives

Managing a sales process related to projects with varying levels of complexity and contract values

Preparing estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, equipment costs and applying to complete scope of work

Defining and quantifying scope of work and preparing comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for projects

What you need to succeed:

3-5 years of technical sales and estimating experience in the civil/structural disciplines to industrial facilities

Demonstrated ability to define scope of work and prepare project estimates by calculating data such as material selections and take-offs, labor requirements including applicable production rates, equipment and ancillary support requirements, and associated cost inputs of each

Demonstrated ability to develop technical proposals to include scope, clarifications, pricing development, and sales strategy incorporation

Customer focused with ability to develop and maintain key relationships

Functioning in a collaborative team setting with a positive outlook and motivated to perform in a high demand work environment

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with self performing contractors
