Job Description

Our growing Bowman Consulting team in Tempe, AZ has an opening for a dynamic and proactive Civil Engineer - Construction Project Engineer ready to make an immediate impact. As a Construction Project Engineer you’ll leverage your hands-on professional engineering experience and creativity working side by side with senior engineers to deliver exceptional construction engineering and construction management services for pipeline projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Work under the supervision of an Arizona registered Professional Engineer to coordinate systems including pipeline projects

Communicate with clients, contractors, and engineers on various construction projects

Coordinate and track project schedules for multiple ongoing jobs between contractors and project managers

Assess Bill of Materials and inventory for multiple contractors for several pipeline construction projects

Attend pre-construction and construction meetings

Review project billing and change orders submitted by contractors

Obtain and analyze metrics associated with construction processes and recommend improvements to construction procedures

Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors during the planning and risk-analysis stages of a project

Review construction plans and propose improvements to minimize change orders

 Position Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or closely related engineering discipline

Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on engineering best practices, technical knowledge and professional experience

Understanding of civil construction plans and specifications

Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills

Strong oral and written communication skills
