In this article, we’ll explore the top locations for structural engineering jobs! We analyzed the Civil, Environmental, and Construction Industry data from CEEcareers.com, and we are now able to show you the places with the highest demand for structural engineering jobs in 2024. There is great demand for structural engineers in the U.S., as shown in the map below. With expected fluctuations in demand, structural engineers are sought after across the country and particularly in the South, as well as on the West and East Coasts. For this year, the best place for a structural engineer to look for a job is California, leading with 13.51% of total job postings. New York follows with 8.98%, while Texas takes third place at 8.70%.





The balance between the East and West remains competitive, reflecting strong demand in both regions. In the Southeast, Florida presents a strong opportunity with 7.07% of job postings. Meanwhile, in the Northeast, Pennsylvania (5.30%), Maryland (3.82%), Massachusetts (3.82%), and New Jersey (2.97%) contribute significantly to the job market. Washington stands out in the Northwest, accounting for 3.61% of total job posts, while Illinois (4.53%) remains a key inland state with significant demand.
