After analyzing the Civil, Environmental and Construction Industry job posting data from CEEcareers.com for 2023, we are now able to show you the hottest places with the highest demand for environmental engineering jobs.
There
is significant demand for environmental engineers in the U.S., as shown in the
map below. In total, 819 environmental engineering jobs were posted in
the US out of a total of 12,530 posted throughout the year. Env. Engs are
sought throughout the country, and especially on the West Coast, as
well as in New York.
As
with a lot of CEE subdisciplines, the best place for an environmental engineer
to look for a job for 2023 is California, with 15.98% of all environmental
jobs posted!
New York is a distant second with 7.41%, followed by
Washington and Texas having both 5.23%. In 5th place, Florida has 4.65% of the
jobs, followed by Virginia with 4.36% and Colorado with 4.14%. Pennsylvania and
North Carolina are coming next with 3.99%, and the top ten ends
with New Jersey at 3.34%.
